Heavy vehicle TPMS components: TC215 series

Sensors are fitted to each tyre and transmit tyre temperature and pressure data at 433MHz. Each sensor has a unique ID and can be coded to any wheel position. Internal, external or air flow-through sensors are available and they are interchangeable

TCSE External Sensors

TCSF Flow-through sensors

TCSI Internal sensors

TCSE Sensor
External sensors simply screw onto a tyre valve in place of the standard dust cap. An Integral security shroud prevents them being removed without using a locking tool. If preferred they can be fitted without the security shroud.
Dimensions 28 x 24.5 (length x diameter) excluding security shroud, 29.5 x 29.5mm including shroud.
The TCSE External Sensor is powered by a replaceable battery that lasts 1-2 years.
TCSF sensor only
Flow-through sensors screw onto the tyre valve in place of the standard dust cap and allow the tyre to be inflated without removing them. They are secured with a small hex key to prevent unauthorised removal.
Dimensions 52 x 26 x 23.5mm.
The TCSFFlow-through Sensor is powered by a replaceable battery that lasts 1-2 years.
TCSI Sensor isolated
Internal sensors are installed inside the tyre so they do not interfere with the normal operation of the valve. They fit behind the valve, so the tyre must be removed to fit them.Dimensions 60 x 31 x 20mm without valve.Valve stem is 70mm. (shorter stems are available on request)
The TSCI Internal Sensor is a sealed construction and is powered by a non-replaceable internal battery that lasts 4-5 years.

Smart Signal Repeater (trailer transceiver)

TCRR_600For long vehicles such as buses or HGVs with trailers, a smart relay is recommended to increase the data transmission range from the sensors in the rear tyres. It is normally only required where the distance from the rear wheels to the monitor is more than 7 metres. In this application, it acts as a simple signal booster.

In fleets where trailers are regularly exchanged, the relay is used in smart mode to simplify exchanging trailers. One is fitted to each trailer, where it stores the trailer’s ID and tyre alert settings. When a trailer is connected, pushing a button on the relay sets up a data connection with the monitor in the cab.

The smart relay operates from the 12 to 24V vehicle power supply and is supplied with a fuse-protected connecting lead.

Monitor set

Tyre pressure monitorThe TC215 monitor can display the pressure and temperature of up to 22 tyres, but only shows the tyre positions where sensors are registered.  Clear and distinct alerts are given for air loss, low pressure, high pressure and high temperature. Monitor set is supplied with holder and charging lead, but without sensors.

38 wheel monitor

TC38 can monitor up to 38 tyres

TC38 can monitor up to 38 tyres

The TC38 monitor is used for heavy haulage applications, with up to four axles on the truck and six axles on the trailer. It works with the standard TC215 sensors and smart relay.

Special instrumentation

Hand held TPMS toolThe TC215 system is supplied as standard from stock with a monitor to display tyre information directly to the driver. Tyre pressure and temperature data can also be read with a hand-held monitor or  integrated with other instrumentation including CAN-bus (J1939).
